Shri Shashidhar
Began his training at a tender age of ten and studied violin for twelve years in the traditional "Gurukula" style from the legendary violinist Lalgudi Jayaraman. Shashi made his concert debut in Krishna Gana Sabha in 1981. He has accompanied many Carnatic music luminaries such as Balamurali Krishna, N. Ramani, T.N.Sheshagopalan etc. and has given several solo performances in India and abroad. He performed regularly on AIR while in India and has maintained a busy music schedule as an accompanist and soloist in USA and Canada. Shashi also has taken keen interest in Hindustani classical as well as Western classical music. He has played in the chamber ensembles and was a member of the McLean Orchestra in Virginia. |
