Monir Hussain Monir Hossain Hossain comes from a family of tabla players of Bengal. His grandfather was Ustad Kadir Baksh of Murshidabad, West Bengal. His received his initial training from his father Hafeez Hossain and later under Shri Samar Saha. Recently he has been receiving advanced guidance from Pt. Nayan Ghosh of Bombay. A resident of Baltimore for the past decade, he has accompanied several eminent visiting artistes like Ustad Vilayat Khan, Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta, Pt. V.G.Jog and Pt. Nayan Ghosh.He is a highly qualified electrical engineer and has been associated with NASA's defence production. |
